Join us September 14-16, 2011 at TapRoot Farms, Port Williams, Nova Scotia for the Fibre, Fabric and Natural Dye Forum (FANDS).

The forum is a unique collaboration between the Nova Scotia Agricultural College, the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design and AgraPoint.

During the forum, farmers, crafters, designers and researchers will examine the feasibility of supporting and rejuvenating a local fibre, fabric, and natural dye industry for Atlantic Canada....and map out next steps.  This has been a sustainable and profitable industry in other countries, and can be here in Atlantic Canada!

During the three-day collaboration, we will: gather knowledge from speakers and each other on steps to move forward with developing a sustainable industry in Atlantic Canada; and identify regional leaders and partners who can contribute to, and benefit from the development of a revitalized industry.

To inspire and inform our regional participants, we’re inviting Canadian and International experts in plant and fibre research, sustainable industry development, and dye, fabric, and fibre production to take part in the event.

We only have 40 spots available for participation in this ideas sharing and working forum! If you are interested, please REGISTER NOW!!!
